Greetings from the Bronx High School of Science’s FIRST Robotics team, the SciBorgs. The SciBorgs are an award winning team participating in FIRST, For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology, a nonprofit organization with the goal of bringing science and technology to the younger generations. The SciBorgs is one such team that works under FIRST, working to education students not just within our school, but with local schools, hospitals, and communities. A FIRST team spends on the order of thousands each year to pay for registration, building materials, a standardized kit of parts, food, travel, and community outreach. We also seek people experienced and interested in engineering or outreach, to help mentor our team. It is only with the help of sponsors that generously support our team and the mentors that work with our team do we manage to have such success each and every year. It is not whether we win or lose, but the influences we have on the people we affect.
